How to export your invoices for import into MYOB AccountRight

Step-by-step guide

PracBill Side

1. Goto General > Export

2. "Customer Export", that will download a file called customers.txt

3. "Invoice Export", Enter the dates that you require, then that will download a file called invoice.txt

MYOB Side

1. TAKE A BACKUP COPY OF YOUR COMPANY FILE!!!!

2. Make sure of Step 1

3. File > Import > Cards > Customers

4. Select the customers.txt file

5. File is: Tab Seperated, Has Header Row

6. Automatch fields

7. import

8. There shouldn't be any errors, see below for common resolutions

9. File > Import > Sales > Service Sales

10. Select the invoice.txt file

11. File is: Tab Seperated, Has Header Row

12. Automatch fields

13. import

14. There will most likely be errors, you need to check the import log file to see what they are and if they need to be resolved.
