Reseller Commissions
This article describes how to setup resellers and their commissions. XeniS offers different ways in which to provide commission for resellers/affiliates. They are:
A percentage of Sales
Specific Products or Services get either a percentage or flat rate, defined by a price book
The above options can either be setup to report on paid invoices only or all invoices. The total credit or refund to the reseller isn't automatically created, only reported. Each businesses internal process will need to determine how they provide this.
Price Book Step-by-step guide
Setup Price Book
Go to module Price Books " Sales > Price Books "
Create a new Price Book
Enter a name e.g. "PBX reseller commission"
Add the products and/or services that you want to provide commission on.
In the example above we have 2 items listed, here settings are explained
Setup Reseller
Go to module Customers " Customers > Customers "
Create a new Customer
Enter all the relevant business details ensuring the following are setup:
Setup Reseller's new customer
Go to module Customers " Customers > Customers "
Create a new Customer
Enter all the relevant business details ensuring the following are setup:
Create Automated Report
Go to mode Reports " Management > Reports "
Create a new Report
Select Report "Reseller Commission" under Sales
The inclusion logic works in this way, it is reporting on invoices created in the period selected and then checking if they are paid, so a limitation is that if a customer has paid invoices very late, then it is likely to miss out on the commission
