Rating International Calls
Rating international calls can be done in one of two methods: International Markup, Custom Rates and Default Rates.
International Markup
Where calls are marked up (based on a percentage) from your source CDRs. This is a common and easy way to protect revenue from out-dated call rates.
Note
Priority
This takes precedence over a custom rate
Cost Price
If there is a no charge passed through from the call, then we use the default call rate to apply as the “cost” and then apply the percentage from that.
Custom Rates
Where you can set custom rates by putting in the countrycode in, and adjusting the rates as required.
To make International Calls rate at $0 (say, for an internal service), then set the markup to ‘-100’).
Default Rates
Due to the complicated nature of international call rates, PracBill has a predefined list of rates for all known country codes with some rates, to assist billing customers who make a random call here and there.
